Every second year, around the first weekend of October, the Melbourne Society of Model & Experimental Engineers holds a Model
Engineering Exhibition. Exhibitors come from all over Victoria as well as from interstate, and many modelling clubs along with the M.S.M.E.E. participate. Exhibits include live steam,
model boats, trains and planes, tools and workshop machinery, hot air engines, clocks, as well as a select number of trade stalls.
Last year’s exhibition was the society’s 9th in the current series and was held over the weekend 4 & 5 October 2008. The
venue again was one of the Engineering Halls at the Monash University in Wellington Road, Clayton, Victoria.
Both exhibitors and visitors have described our exhibitions a great success and the following pages attempt to present a little of
the flavour of past exhibitions. For reasons of security the identification of owners is not given unless they wish to do so.
We hope you enjoy seeing what model engineers 'down under' can do!
