Exhibition details Download as pdf fileWhere is it?The 2010 Model Engineering Exhibition will be held in Science Building number 60 on the Clayton campus of Monash University. This is located on the corner of Wellington Road and Princes Highway in the suburb of Clayton, Victoria about 40km (25 miles) from Melbourne airport some 20 km from Melbourne's city centre. A taxi ride from the airport takes about 45 minutes on the Citylink freeways (including the Monash Freeway).
The venue for the 10th Model Engineering Exhibition is Engineering Building 60 When is it and what hours is it open?On Saturday 2 October 2010, it will be open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. On Sunday 3 October 2010, it will be open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. How much are the entrance fees?Adults $8.00, Children $4.00, Family $20.00 per day How do I get there?By car: (Melways map ref. 70 G10 – there is a larger campus map on page 575) If travelling from Melbourne airport add 15 minutes via Citylink (tolls). By train: to get to Clayton campus by public transport, take any of the Dandenong,Pakenham or Cranbourne line trains to Huntingdale station then catch a bus to the campus. Buses leave the station for Clayton campus every 15-20 minutes. A number of buses also serve the campus. For details see the Metlink website.
Can I park in the campus grounds?Over the weekend of the exhibition there will be free parking in the car park adjacent to the exhibition building. Parking elsewhere on campus is subject to relevant signage. Please note that parking is monitored and fines may apply. How will I find the exhibition building?After entering through the main entrance off Wellington Road proceed north along the main driveway for some 500metres until you reach Union Loop Road. Turn left and the car park is on the right with the exhibition building then on the north side of the car park. There will be signage along the driveway which should assist you in finding the exhibition. Catering:Food such as sandwiches, rolls and cakes along with tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Food will also be available at the nearby Student Union. Accommodation Near Monash University, Clayton CampusThe following information has been provided by the three hotels indicated below. The Exhibition organisers offer this information in good faith only and have not inspected the facilities available, nor are they able to make bookings on your behalf. If you wish to stay at one of the places listed then please make your booking direct with the hotel. Rates shown were correct at 12 February 2010 and apply only if directly booked and not through an agency. You may be able to negotiate a better rate if you mention that you will be attending the exhibition being held at Monash University.
